Guest speakers for the Steel Structures 2010 “Culture and Sustainability” themed International Symposium are designated:
* Alessandro Zoppini. Famous Italian architect known as the architect of the latest prominence of our day, which is the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa (formerly known as Burj Dubai). Zoppini is also the architect of Oval “Olympic Ice Staking Arena, Turin” project that received the ECCS Steel Design Award in 2007.
* Prof. Dr. Jean Baptiste Schleich. Scientist and Civil Engineer who has received the 2007 ECCS Charles Massonet Award. Prof. Schleich will be enhancing the international symposium with his lecture on “Fire and Sustainability”.
Apart from the guest speakers, Allan Collins, previous Executive Board President of ECCS will be the guest of honour at the symposium for his significant contribution to the realization of the Tevfik Seno Arda High School built in İzmit by the cooperation of The Turkish Constructional Steelwork Association and ECCS in 2006.
