New Steel Building Projects: Hilton Double Tree Hotel

Proprietor: Sonkar Otomotiv Architect: Uras Dilekçi Engineer: YapıTeknik Producer-Contractor: Gulermak Total area 27000 m2 12000m2 part steel Aproximately 2500 tons steel Columns Histar 460 beams S 355 Each column & column connections whelded 27 floors With technical support from ArcelorMittal, in this project designed according to the concept of strong collumn weak beam, which transfers stress from the main bearing system to the beams during seismic movements, Histar 460 (creep strength Min 460 Mpa) in columns and S 355 JR (creep strength Min 355 Mpa) in the beams are used. After Diamond of Istanbul, this system in accordance with the latest American earthquake regulations, is being used in this project. The fabrication and assembly of the steel parts are being made by Gulermak. The steel building comprises 27 floors. The height is 102 meters and the base is 15.8x28.5 meters. The total weight of the steel structure is approximately 2500 tons. Connection points consist of nearly 65 thousand connecting elements. These elements have diameters varying from 16mm to 30 mm. Connecting elements are high strength bolts of DIN 6914 standard and 10.9 quality.
