Usak University indoor sports facility building has a capacity if 2000 spectators. The building includes an indoor swimming pool, mountaineering center, student club rooms, meeting spaces, cafeteria and management units.
The indoor sports facility has been considered as a space for student activities with its flexible design to form a stage. The building is located in the north-west corner of the campus, on an inclined plot. Existing campus architecture and topographic data were determinative of the design of the building.
The building was designed in two sections for adaptation to different conditions and located in accordance with the environmental data. Area in front of the building was considered to be a multifunctional social area and maintained as a transformable plane on the inner space. Different functions in and around this plane reflect the pluralist and contemporary character of the building.
